This piece was a collaborative effort with Reid Finley, a terrific local MKE designer and artist! His use of incredibly complex geometric shapes is phenomenal, and I was thrilled when he reached out to me for this project! When he first messaged me I knew immediately he needed to be in charge of helping set the tone for the King and Queen, as the castle background was rather daunting to think about. He pulled it off magnificently and I really enjoyed seeing how we could match my rather 2D style, and his incredible knack for perspective. The result is an unusual but very cohesive pairing of styles, and I look forward to the next time we can work together.
